Obedience Level 2
An invaluable follow-up after Level 1! Do you have trouble getting your dog to listen to you? Do you have to repeat yourself multiple times to get your dog to do what you ask? Does your dog pull or lunge on the leash when it gets overexcited? Or perhaps he likes to steal food from the table, jump up on people or pick up trash from the ground? Your dog may understand what you want, but as a thinking individual, it can make the choice to listen or to disregard. Earn the trust, respect and love of your furry companion by establishing yourself as a dependable and fair leader, and guide it to make good decisions.
In this class, you will learn the phases of dog training to ensure your dog responds reliably in all situations. In addition to refining the five basic obedience commands (Sit, Down, Stay, Come and Heel), you will learn Place, Leave It and Drop It. These commands are the foundation to prevent and stop undesirable behaviors. We will also discuss ways to improve your communication with your dog, to establish structure and boundaries, and to help him feel safe and secure in different environments.
